'87 Genesis Brake Caliper Strip

Post by StudentFZR »

Planning to do mine soon, although manual says do not separate caliper halves. Is it possible to get the pistons out easily and clean the seal grooves without separating the caliper? If not what torque figures should be used when bolting them together?
Dave.

Do not separate the two halves of the caliper. Blow out the pistons with compressed air or pump them out two at a time to clean and replace seals.
regards
chris
