Dynojet emulsion tubes

Post by NoItsNotAnR1 »

I thought I'd just start a new thread since the others were getting full of pics and crap.

I can't get the tubes from Factory Pro or Yamaha.

Dynojet lists that the carry replacements for the YZF1000 at $20 a pop.

I've never heard anything positive about Dynojet products. Anybody got any advice? Ever used their emulsion tubes?

My concern is spending $80 and ending up with a bike that is still too rich. Seems all their stuff runs rich, but that may only apply to their jet kits.

Need some help, please.

I have installed countless dynojet kits (when i was in the shop) and never had a problem with them at all, just installed them per instructions as required (stock filter/exhaust, stock filter/slip on, k&N/slip on, etc)...

When you say it is rich, where is it rich? Bottom end, midrange, top end, all over? Not to be a smart ass, but those adjustable clips are there for a reason on the jet needles...

See this thread.

I finally decided to quit dicking with it until this fall, then I have a whole list of various things I'm doing maintenace wise. The bike is running well enough for now, and I need the cash for other things.

As far as DynoJet, I've read in the archives that their jet kits run really rich. DRJim has posted this over and over and over. I have never used one, but Jim really seems to know his carbs, so I'm willing to take his word for it. I'm trying to get input on the emulsion tubes they sell, but so far I can't find anyone who's ever tried them. In a few months I'll play guinea pig and find out.
