exhaust sytems

Are any of the exhaust parts interchangable? Ive got an 87 non-exup, and have the chance to get hold of the headers and collector from a race sytem although were not sure which model it was originally intended for... <!--EZCODE EMOTICON START :rolleyes --><img src=

You need to fit all the associated gubbins with the exup exhaust i.e. servo motor and black box programming.... sounds a horrendous job for the benefits. Why not trade up? <p></p><i></i>

Don't forget that the 87 and 88 FZR1000 engines were made and tuned for no EXUP valve use. There are so many things you would have to replace to get it to work its not funny.<br><br>You could get an EXUP engine with the entire electrical system and do a splice and dice on it. But the engines won't fit unless you make some different mounts.<br><br> <p></p><i></i>

I have a 94 EXUP, man it has pwer all over dem R1s.<br>I thunk that the EXUP would fit rite on your bike, its a 1000. U prbly need to get a black box frum a newr FZR1000, dats ok.<br>Whuts wit da angles? A 1000 engine is de same. <p></p><i></i>
