red light on rev counter

i recently had fairing clocks etc of my fzr400 1wg the rev counter and temp gauge bulbs had blown so i re placed them ,now when i hit 8000rpm red light onrev counter appears,and stays on until i drop below 8000rpm again. is this normal or is something up .does anyone know? <p></p><i>Edited by: <A HREF=

I know what yu mean. I'd not even riden my bike before I got it on track & after an oil change, I thought the engine was about to seize!!!<br><br>Si <p></p><i></i>
