Big red wire is either from or to the main fuse, smaller one probably goes to the fan and connects into the fusebox.
Green wire is probably turn signals r/h
The other red is the starter relay feed.
(Based on a UK Bike)

Hope this helps.

Rob

The guy i got the bike from said that they connected to one another. He also said that they were to the headlights. But all my lights are working fine! The bike doesn't seem to mind that these four wires don't lead anywhere. If someone can look at their bike for reference, that would be great!!! Thanks for the help Exupilot

The hard wire test sequence ( don't do this !!!!!!!!!! ).
Run a hot wire jumper to each connector in turn - one at a time. Watch where the smoke comes from. Extinguish fire.
The bike won't work any more, but at least you'll know where the wires go to.
Don't worry about it, really. My '92 fzr 1000 has dead end wires too, never had a running problem though.
I just figured they were for options I didn't order, A/C, cruise, power door locks, etc. Wheelies...................... Bob.

The FJR1300 and the old Suzuki Kantana1100 both have a power window. <img src="http://img69.photobucket.com/albums/v20 ...

Tim
<img src="http://img69.photobucket.com/albums/v20 ...
Dir. of Entertainment Eddie & the Cruisers

Barn,

I'll take a look at my wiring diagrams and my bike tonight and see if I can figure out what they are. Mine's an 87 but I think the 87 & 88s are pretty much identical in wiring.

Mind you I'm color-blind so if I say pink it's probably grey...
"I have come here to chew bubble-gum and kick ass...
and I'm all out of bubble-gum."

You don't want those wire flapping around when your burning up the road. I think that you should crimp connectors on them and anchor them to the frame.

but seriously, The only braided wires are those that carry a high current load without a fuse. The braided wires in the picture look suspiciously like the wires that run to the alternator.

I'm not so sure about the other two. The green might be from the diode block hanging in that area.
