EXUP Worldwide

Well, I'd like a louder horn than my "baby lamb" one on '94 fzr litre....So I'm considering doing a relay job like for the headlights and just swapping in a different horn, like from a volkswagen? Or just swapping in a different/louder horn (suggestions on make?)? Or maybe installing an Air Horn!! Well...don't have any suggestions. Just reminds me of a time when my friend had a Geo Tracker with a little baby horn. It can be done,a buddy of mine fitted twin air horns on his 02 R1. This has been a bad year for deer over here too. Have never seen so many of them hit on the bypass before. Nasty thing is that you can tell the ones that got hit by semis...usually you pass a leg about 100ft after the carcass...yuck.<br><br>Sorry about your bang-up in the car Bot. wouldn't you folks riding in deer territory benefit from one of them small deer evaders? You know the thing that makes a sort of frequency pitch when in motion?<br><br> <p>-John</p><i></i>

You know I run those on my car...I suppose that I could put them right under the headlight upside down on the fairing, probably not a bad idea....although it's not really proven whether they scare the deer away from the road or attract them to it! <p>'94 Fizzer 1000</p><i></i>

I switched my stock horn for an aftermarket 105db one that I bought for $32 @ the local Moto shop. Much louder. It does the trick for me w/o too much work. <p></p><i></i>

That have roo's.<br>The mention of deer.... Couple of people in my area have died this year because of deer. Both on bikes and in cars. <br><br>Just last year I watched a deer come out of the woods and slam into the side of my buddy Jim's (not dragracer) bike. He had his wife on the back as well as a T-Bag (big luggage backpack kinda thing). The deer spun twice before hitting the ground where it spun once more. Got up and ran back the way it came. Granted it was a small deer, but we were going 50ish. I agree Tim, whether it's a roo or a dear, the potential for a negative outcome as a result of collision is the same. theres roos and deer<br><br>Did anyone see the race a few weeks ago where I think it was duhamel that had to correct is exit from a sweeper when a turtle was crossing? I suspect that may have been enough to throw a rider if a collision had occurred.<br><br> <p>-John</p><i></i>

Guess who's got a new horn installed off of an old Buick!? Well come on, guess...Yup its me, didn't blow the fuses, and its louder than stock fur sure, but its no air horn....but hey if somebody figures there's a Buick next to them maybe they'll be quicker not to merge into my lane....I also just did the headlight relay and only 10 amps were getting to the lights so maybe a relay for the horn is down the road....I post a pic later, but as (someone) said if you can get a louder horn that just bolts on then I'd do that b/c I had to weld a bracket for the horn and then bolt it on. I bought a $15 horn at JC Whitney and that included S&H. 105db is great. Still seems low though.
