Brighter Break Lights ?!

I bought some halogen break lights from the Yami dealer last week. I put them on Sunday...Last night @ a stop light a car next to me says I have a break light out ???<br>The damn thing even started to melt the socket...What the F***! <!--EZCODE EMOTICON START >: --><img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/mad.gif ALT=">:"><!--EZCODE EMOTICON END--> <br>I swear that's the last time I go to that dealer. <p></p><i></i>

It was screwed in correctly. It's like the 1157 but smaller in diameter. One high screw post, one low screw post. Red LED's behind a red lens are not very bright. At least the tail light. Brake light is about the same.
