dragracer I ran the bike last with the 136 mains ,do you have the exup?I have the air screws at 3/4 turn out to the point where it has a lean hesitation when I snap the throttle and it still stutters,a bit less but it still does.O and thanks for everyones help I thinks i will change those emulsion tubes and o b4 i forget the rubber o ring type gasket has been bad on three sets of carbs. The gasket that seals the jet holder to the carb body, they should be changed too.Again thanks

Edited by: <A HREF=

Yes, Exup is still there
I have a DJ stage 1 jet set in the bike that came with 120, 124 and 128 jets
The only jets that would work are the 120's and at that I have the needles in the leanest position
air screws are out 3 1/4 turns I think
No stutter
Bike would fowl plugs in a couple hundred miles with the bigger jets
wouldn't pull hard either
Your stutter problem is more than likely a result of large mains
J

The last time I ran the bike we had it on a dyno with the gas analyser, the large mains where the right size according to the analyser and it had a power increase.I do not have the exup in I have a full system...(have you ever held one of those things in your hand?)the exup that is ,its hevy.I will try the emulsion tube thing then I will lean the mains, the problem is below 4 thou I thinks the main is still sleepin at that point.I was thinkin that the taper on the needle should be leaner than it is, I think that the fatter side of the needle is lower rpm and should be wider to lean it at low rpm,..just a guess.Hopefully the emulsion tubes fix it. I will post my findings. THanks again.
