For 1994 FZR1000 ...
The Yamaha service manual lists U.S. spark plug type as DP8EA-9 (NGK) and gap as .024-.028 in (.6-.7mm)

The Owner's Manual lists U.S. spark plug type as DP8EA-9 (NGK) and gap as .031-.035 in (.8-.9mm)

The local Yamaha service mgr. said the .9mm gap is correct. According to him that what the "-9" in the DP8EA-9 means (.9mm) ... according to the NGK manual.

I just changed my plugs after 7300 miles and they were a light tan color and the gap was .035 (.9mm). So I set the gap for the new plugs at .035

Don
