I often experiment with the controls and settings on the bike to get the best fit. Have them all set well now. Last one to get right was the brake pedal. Yamaha manuals for the 1994 FZR100 list the brake pedal position as 60mm below top of footpeg. Problem I had with this setting is the brake pedal was too sensitive to foot pressure and it was too easy to overbrake the rear. So I dropped the pedal down to 70mm below top of footpeg and the braking is much improved. Much better control over the rear brake and I find the foot/ankle position to be more comfortable.
If you change your rear brake pedal position, remember to adjust the rear brake light switch so it switches on/off correctly with the new position of the brake pedal.

Had the same issue but could never get the lever low enough for my liking. Not enough ajustment in the switch. Remove the stock switch and replaced it with a hydrolic pressure type and now can adjust the lever where ever I like and don't have to worry about setting the switch propperly, as it works off the system pressure....

The hydraulic switch is a good idea. I'm still able to adjust the mechanical switch for my setting. I really do like the brake pedal down further (70 - 75mm). Puts just enough drag on the rear brake to pull down the suspension for better front braking; both heavy straight-line braking as well as light trail-braking in the turns.
