Carb Tuning - extend fuel lines?

Just picked up a Morgan Carbtune and would like to tune my 750. What's the best way to keep my fuel tank attached so that I can clear the tank while tuning? I was thinking I would extend the fuel source and return lines and make some type of extension for the fuel pump, then set the tank off to the side while tuning. I think there's a vacuum line attached to the tank as well (California model) does this need to be extended?
Thanks!

You can extend the hoses, but need to extend the vacuum hose too--it operates the petcock that turns the gas on when bike is running. There's also an electrical hookup for the fuel pump.
Motion Pro sells an remote tank that reminiscent of a IV bag--pricey though.
I'd think that with a large tin can, a barbed hose fitting or bulkhead fitting, a couple o-rings, and some hose you could make yourself one for about $15. Check McMasterCarr.com for parts.

I'm not sure about the 750, but I just had the tank off of my FZR1000 (88 model) and I was able to remove two mounting screws from the petcock (not the one on the bottom of the tank), once I did that I was able to set the tank on the floor without removing fuel lines. I'm going to be syncronizing my carbs in the near future and was thinking of using this method. Should work, because these bikes have electric fuel pumps.
