Hey peoples, new here, and very cool site. Just need bit of help/info on a couple things though.

I took a 1996 thundercat for test ride today and the bike is awesome everything seems great EXCEPT one big problem and thats when riding it at either high speed or slow it had massive wobbles happening, the same deal as when on a push bike and u have a buckled wheel and it wobbles every where, now this is what it was doing, and i know a little bout bike yet have no idea what this could be.,.... I was thinking could it be the clip on's he had on it making the problem? it was scary as hell though and seriously wasnt safe. yet im loving the bike and really want it if its a easy fix problem. But not if its a pricy one to fix. i just really want other peoples opinion on what the it may be???? !!

We are glad you stopped by.

Some of the things that come to mind would be blown forke seal(s), Front tire cupped (very un-even wear pattern), Tire out of balance, bent wheel, shot wheel bearings, or bad steering head bearings.

I sugest you get the bike to a qualified mechanic for an expert opinion before someone is hurt Regards Steve

I'm with 749muppet, have the bike checked by a trusted mechanic. It could be as simple as uneven amounts of fork oil in the front forks or a bad front tire; but it could also be something more expensive like a frame out of alignment. On a level road you should be able to take your hands off the handlebars and the bike will track straight without any wobbles.
