Just had a set of wheels powder coated and guess what
They got marked when fitting the new tyre's and chipped one when I dropped a brake caliper
Oh bugger I thought !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Managed to touch up the paint but still not happy

So I have experimented with spray enamel & acrylic paint only to find that brake cleaner I use strips off the paint
Note this was the original problem.

So I am looking for a single application paint which is easy to touch up after a tyre change etc , that is resistant to brake cleaner
and chemical solvents

Any ideas

They sell wheel spray paint at the auto parts stores but I don't know how good they are ... I have never used them. I have used cast coat aluminum engine spray paint on auto exhaust tips because it is durable, resists chemicals, heat resistant to 500 degF, etc... They sell other engine paint colors but my only experience is with the cast coat aluminum.

i work at western ny cycle (lockport ny) honda dealer and as much as i would like to say "oh were extremely carefull " and "hah we dont scratch weels here" sh*t happens try using MAC'S toolbox touch up paint thats what i use and have yet to have anyone (customers) find out it flows in to the scratch real well and drys quickly, brake cleaner doesnt take it off easily either
