HT LEADS

I've been investigating possibilities for new HT leads and plug caps.

The NGK caps are inexpensive and seem to have a good rep. so no probs.

I remember reading I don't know where that some leads are cool for bikes and others don't work. On the site I was looking at buying from they simply list HT Lead per metre not NGK. Then there's another site that does stock NGK Leads but no options (bike, car etc)

What should I be looking for lead wise, and to make life easier can anyone recommend an outlet in the UK?

Cheers,
John

John,

I would not recommend NGK plug caps at all. Their resistance measures out at .5 instead of .9ohms. I have tried them and the machine did run noticabley worse. Although, some will say ahhh they're fine. I would, and have myself, bit\e the bullet and paid the Yamaha theives there pound of flesh for the proper plug caps and then the bike ran marketebly smoother.

Many Yamaha techinicians will also insist upon the Yamaha plug caps also. These machines have fussy electrics so I err on the side of caution. Sucks that caution costs close to $100 but who said motorcycling was for people who didn't have $$$.

Just my :2cents

You bet John,

Sorry if I just spent more $$$ out of your pocket for you. You might/may have tried the NGK's and then said, these suck and gone back to the Yamaha's anyway, so in essence, I'm saving you money! :poke

Riggghhhhhhhhhhht!!??
