Anyone have any experience with the BT021's ? My ride needs a new pair of shoes and as much as I like the Conti's, I'm looking for something that can give me even more highway mileage.

I had a pair of Pilot Sport on my 95 that went 14k
I have a set of BT014's that have gone about 8k
Darcy gets lots of miles out of powers and he had a set of roads also. That guy used to ride 100 miles a day till he came to work for me...

Man ! 14k on one set of tires ? That's gotta be a record ! Best I've done so far is 12,k on the front and just over 9,k on the rear. My friend with the CBR sold me his lightly used BT-015's and they're really good. There is something about them that I really like however it's hard to describe. Just feels like I'm riding a tire that is far more capable than either the FZR or myself. I've taken it into turns at 120 right after reading that sign saying 40 and come out grinning. Still, these tires are only good for about 6,k of light duty riding so I'll have to look for something else.

The FZR is a little "portly" shall we say...
So, I get tires that are speced for bikes like ZX1100's, Blackbirds, 1100 Gixers...the heavier bikes. There is a difference in tires that are the generic tire and one made specificaly for a bike.
Although, the Pilot Sports were just plain jane pilot sports.
I have been pretty impressed with the BT014's too. I used to ride a lot in the rain and these offered very predictable traction in the wet. I have 218's on my R1 right now and am getting a set of Corsa III's because I just don't care about the wear, I want the traction and feedback.

the real reason jim gets ungawly and totally unrealistic mileage from his tires is because the poor soul is from the rainy northwest of the country

what'd ya expect the tires to do ....heat up in the rain ?

pilot powers on the other
bt010 on the other

I think the bt's are the best....for street and mileage

but then LOTs of folks go with michelin

for the price...i'd go for bt's

and yes I know the bt010 are before the 14's but still

and I should add...

I wasnt impressed with handling with the michy's

but they really do hold up well for several track days I been on

actually very impressive

and even MORE impressive when the michy tech comes around and looks at each michy clad bike in the pit

I havent seen anyone else do that!

and that means a whole heck of alot me thinks

I haven't had the opportunity to try out many tires on my Fizzer, but I do like these Pilot Powers I just put on. The bike previously had Pirrelli Dragons (might be an older model), and the turn-in is much more predictable than before.

Also, I think the Pilot Powers might be getting phased out, as there are some really good deals on them right now. I picked up mine for under 230/set from a local shop (Cycle Gear). After I bought them though, started seeing the prices drop everywhere.... ?

They've come out with the DTC Powers so the reg Powers are more than likely on the way out, just like the Sports were when the Powers came out.

i'm budget minded - but still need great handling

so if michy powers are close to bt's then i'd be happy and consider either one

if cost is an issue and it was when powers were som 20-35 bucks more than bt's ....i didnt see the justification except to support michys motogp sponsorship
