My TT-F1 "Nescafe Can" Dream!!!

Well finally after many years, I have reached my goal of having my "dream bike"!!!

Since 1992, when I was 18 yrs. old, and saw the TT-F1 Team Nescafe Can Yamaha YZF750 that raced in the Suzuka 8 hours, I absolutely fell in love!! In the winter of 1992 , the seed for my dream began when I found out that Yamaha was releasing the YZF750SP homologation special, moulded directly from the TT-F1 machine. So I promptly bought one brand new!! :)

But I knew that I could not replicate the Nescafe Can machine without the Y.E.C. KIT Swingarm and Ohlins Type 46HRCLS shock (because it just wouldn't be "right" without these parts!!).

The real beginning of my dream really didn't start until 2005, when I FINALLY aquired the Y.E.C. KIT Swingarm!! Now, I knew my dream could truly be turned into reality!! I then bought a new Ohlins Type 46HRCLS shock to go with it.

I now present to you all, my Team Nescafe Can Yamaha YZF750SP!! These pics were recently taken at Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, Utah during 2 days of track riding. Hope you enjoy these!!

I forgot to mention that all these pics were taken recently (Aug 30 - 31/08) at Miller Motorsports Park during 2 days of track riding. :)

Here's some more pics:

Not 100% pleased with the above pic.......it's lookin a bit dirty for my liking. But that's got to be expected when ur track riding on a regular basis ;)

Image
If u look closely at my front tyre, u can see I wore it out from all the trail-braking I did!! It's hard work keeping pace with all the new 600's!!

Image
This is my friend on his Ducati D16RR......he's not very fast but it was fun just to follow him for 2 laps so I could get some pics with him!! ;)

great looking bike, great pics, you must be very happy with the result!!

After such a long time to put it all together, i might be a little apprehensive to head out on the track, although it is great to see someone using their pride and joy in a bit of anger,

What variety of the Miller Motorsport Park did you ride??

Hi Stan,

Yep, I'm very happy with the result and quite enjoyed myself at Miller. My friends and I rode the full course which is 4.5 miles and 23 turns!! Good thing we were there for at least 2 days because 23 turns is a lot to remember!! :)

You have done a spectacular job on that bike and many kudos for taking out on the track and riding it like it was built to be ridden. It is amazing how accuratley you have been able to build that thing. TOP WORK!!!

Cheers

Hello Gentleman,

Living your dream should be what life is all about, in my opinion. I believe in this very strongly which is why I was determined to make my Nescafe Can dream a reality no matter how long it took. Isn't it the journey there and not just the destination that makes it all worthwhile and fun?? :)

I encourage you all to live your "MotoGP/AMA-BSB-All Japan-World Superbike/Endurance/TT-F1/250cc/500cc" fantasy!! Trust me, if you do, you won't regret it!! :banana

Hi Stan,

TZ250 powered by an RZ500 motor..........that would be an AMAZING machine!! Very COOL!!

You can't go wrong with a YZF750 in 96 Suzuka 8 hour Colin Edwards/Noriyuki Haga livery either!! Also, very TRICK!!

Ah......decisions, decisions!! :banana

Thanks Dave!!

Full system is Y.E.C. KIT Pipes with a Termignoni carbon fibre muffler and Y.E.C. KIT deep sump oil pan , just like the Factory WSB Yamaha machines.

Glad u like it!! :)

Hi Everyone,

I figure since my pics were taken at Miller Motorsports, I should probably add a map of the track. :)

Very lovely Swingarm my friend!

Have you got any pics on the deep sump, what kind of part is that then, a deeper oil pan than stock or what? Exactly what part/s is/are replaced, are they lighter, better lubrication and better cooling I imagine, or am I missing something, any other advantages? How muchy, how easy to getty?

deep sump pan carries most of the oil off to the left side of the motor. it's deeper on that side, shallower than stock on the right. the kit exhaust was designed in away that stacked the collectors after the headers on top of each other under the right side of the motor, so the pan had to move left. the kit exhaust is the only system that will work with the deep sump pan (certain hindle systems supposedly also work) due to this arrangement.

there were a few versions of the pan, one being a cut and welded job with the later versions being sandcast as one piece.

doubt they are any lighter, look much cooler, hard as hell to get mostly cause you also need an exhaust that will work.

not sure if oil capacity is any different, julian will let us know...
