FIM Superbike - Donnington Park

Post by djalbin »

Did you see FIM Superbike race-2 at Donnington Park? Very close racing between Haga, Biaggi, and Corser (Haga and Corser on Yamaha). Biaggi was leading on the last lap but Haga passed him on the last corner to the finish line. They finished in the same order as they are in this picture.
Haga, Biaggi, Corser

Race-1:
Toseland won and Bayliss crashed. Toseland's Honda had mechanical failure in race-2 and Bayliss did not start due to his race-1 crash.

The photo is at Donnington but not during the race. I didn't have any crash photos of Bayliss.
You earn double points for noticing the photo was Corser and not Bayliss. Image

Bayliss crash update:
He was taken to the Clinica Mobile in the circuit, but doctors decided to send him to the nearby Derbyshire Royal Infirmary for immediate surgery. The operation consisted of the removal of the top two bones (intermediate and distal phalanges) of the little finger of his right hand. During the crash Troy had also received a powerful blow in the groin region and due to concerns, specialists at the Derby hospital also carried out checks in that area before giving him the OK to leave.

Ouch !
