It shows you have to ride every round, & be consistant. Either way Im pretty happy with the year, Im still getting faster, my times are dropping, the FZR is one of the fastest bike out there, & Im enjoying the racing.
Cheers Steve

There's no question about it. If you don't ride every round you can't expect top five.
Still, and keeping that in mind, you had a good year, and most importantly of all you enjoyed yourself!
Hope you can afford to keep at it next year... and I wish you all the best for if you do.
John

You are exctly right!! I did enjoy myself, The year started off bad, but with the help of the EXUP team & some ideas of my own we worked out the bike issues, & things turned out pretty good all round.
I'll be back next year for sure. I have one very important meeting left this year..>> http://www.the6hour.com.au/index.html
A very sad meeting for me & many others... The end of an era.. :sad

Richards no 2 bike, is a bitza FZR/YZF 750 with an 810 kit in it & worked of its head! It goes like a shot cat. That bike is the only bike that can make a bike lenth or two on my FZR down the straight. He is a very good rider as well..spook wrote:Well done Steve. Next year for sure.
Good to see three Yam's in the top 5, and a FZR750 1 point off the the lead.
Any info on the #2 Bike? Cheers
In one of the races we came onto the straight together & by the end he was two bike lenths in front of me doing 240+ Ks!

So mid-field despite only getting about half the racing done... that's
a really good result, especially all things considered. GO TEAM EXUP!

Thanks Cam, Im pretty happy.
Yeah the year started off with the Barry Sheene meeting, which wasnt a real humdinger, but once we got the fuel issues sorted out things turned around.
Its funny I finished 11th in last years championship too.
You'd have thought I would have improved a little?
But the bike good now, so I can race with confidence. Im still slowly getting those old skills back, so things are rosie.
