May racing madness

Post by JasonL »

Looks like we've got a full month of track reports coming up, yipee:

This weekend Mike's marathon 2 bike relay in Qld, shoulder permitting

Next weekend Butler at Wakefield again plus Bill on FZR

Weekend 22-23 I'll be at Phillip Island (just Honda's sorry!)

30th I finally get the FZR out on a track day and Spook's planning on bringing the big arsed, dolphin-headed purple plasma TLR along aswell :)

Flippa! It now has a nickname?! Mine just answers to "C'mon you ole beatch, HURRY UP!" Promptly followed by my using visions of God for braking markers, when she does.

Don't worry, I'm not going to be anywhere near you at turn one... You have a bad reputation :P Truth is I'm not going to be anywhere near your pace at all.:poke

Looking forward to getting some laps under my belt though, as it's been a long long time. Racer Station may bring his RC30 out for a run, Cam's piked it...

Should be a good day :) As far as tyres go, I'll leave the sport touring road smarts on it... I reckon they will be okay for the day. Cheers!

This is almost like sametime. Hands up who's at work...

Ralph I was thinking VFR but then I've realised I should be on the FZR so no you won't smoke me on the straights...then again I might be wobbling around the turns more as I struggle with the wheelbarrow full of bricks that its gonna be. Are you sure those tyres will be ok?Even just for a cruise around you might find them wanting?

And here is me hard at work all day :)

I've been rubbing in Voltarin and using a cold paclk on my shoulder four times a day all week. That and a can of HTFU and I am ready to roll. Just got to load up the trailer tonight and I'm off at 5:00 am tomorrow. woohoo!

As always Mike, have fun, be safe, go and get a injection so your shoulder doesn't ruin your weekend :)

Public health system doesn't make it that easy. See a GP, get a referal. etc. etc...

It's all good I have almost full movement back :)

Yes, always a lot of mucking about. Enjoy the weekend Mike... Let it come to you :)

In relation to tyres on the TL... I've been thinking... Do I really want sports touring tyres on it anyway? It is going to be registered for road use but it's likely to be mainly scratching through the spur or down the coast. I may as well just fit it up with a set of Ntechs or the like. Has anyone had experience with the 200/50ZR17 rears? lol.

Never tried Ntecs. I run Supercorsas on the Ducati. Ask me after the weekend how they went :)
