Well Ive been busy doing the [spook] phosphoric cleaner in the tank. It seems to be doing the job alright. Ive been sloshing it around for about 1/2 an hour now & its cleaning the inside of the tank. Ive fitted the new pump. Its out of a Honda CBR 600 95 model & it works a treat. Sucked up the fuel out of the drum & the bike fired up like a trooper !!

Now im gonna leave the acid in the tank for an other 1/2 an hour & start the cleaning process.

Im gonna rinse the tank with water & then metho, dry it, then stick some petrol in there & see what happens. :banana
Thanks again spook. looks like your not just a pretty face ay?

UPDATE

This is one for you Cam now you have the big bore kit in there.

Just found another little item that could cause starvation high RPM.
The fuel cock!! Have a look at the size of the hole the fuel has to run through. It like a CB125 size!! They have a pretty big fuel system eg: delivery to the pump, hoses, filter. Now if you have your fuel tap output, have a look at "inner" size of the hole in the tap. Its about 1.5mm were it bolts to the tank, & is the same were it comes output & down the line.
Well, Ive drilled the input side & output + the nylnon stopper [the stopper itself] out to 2.5mm which is the same size as the input into the carbs!!
So my system now, with the CBR 600 pump is ALL 2.5 mm.

It comes from the tank, to the pump, to the carbs all in 2.5mm ID lines fittings tap pump the lot !!!

My fuel troubles should well & trully be a thing of the past. :banana

PS::: the tank is clean and like brand new!

Good point, the guy I bought my fuel injection system off said that
he burned out 3 fuel pumps trying to use the stock tap and that
I should do something about the fuel tap before I installed the FI.

Have a good look at the tap & you'll see what I mean. I dont know how it feeds the pump through such a small hole.!!!
