6 Hour day 1

Post by sbutler »

Well guys ive raced when its hot but that was crazy!!!!!!!!!!
Went out in the first retro practice, did about 5 laps, & found I was wondering off line & just didnt have my mind on the job, had a look at the temp gauge & for the very first time it was over the half mark. So I did a cool down & came in exhausted..
I did the 3rd fasted time a low 1.21. That was pretty good stright out of the box & in those conditions. 43+ deg is enough for me, I packed up & came home. No point banging around looking for a better time. It just wouldnt have happend.
The fastest guy is only half a second faster, & that was still slower than I did around there a couple of months ago. I got down to 1.20.2 then so theres plenty left weather permitting.
So tomorrow its first up Retro practice & qually. So I'll stick it on the front row, I will try for pole, but qually isnt my strong point.
Then we have a race before lunch & 2 after lunch. The 6 Hour guys are having superpole mixed in there someware.

The 6 hour guys were having trouble doing 1/2 an hour without the heat getting to them!!! So they have a big job ahead of them.

But apart from the heat the FZR & me were going real good.
See how we go tomorrow, its supposed to be about 10 degs cooler so I can live with that.

YOU'VE GOT A TEMP GAUGE!!! Where? Does the sensor pick up blood temp or skin temp? THAT'S SO COOL. I WANT ONE!!!
