After a week of sleepless nights, & some words of wisdom from fellow EXUPrs Im working on a buget to do one full year of racing next year. The only round that is iffy, is the Broardford round.
The wife & I thought what the hell. Ive come this far with only a few races, so I would be selling out to walk away now.
All the hours of work, head scrathing, & running around, for only a few races, would be for nothing. So we said lets give it a real shake next year, then look back & see how we feel..

So Im taking the tank down to Mototech tomorrow to be treated with the rust stuff. Ill be starting to go through the wiring over Xmas to make sure there is no repeat of that missed race of a couple of weeks ago, that pretty much stopped me from winning the day.
First race meeting is Wakefield in Feb, have never raced a bike there so I'll be putting in a big effort to come home with some silverware..

Now I wont be able to sleep thinking of what preparation I need to do. :hissy

Steve,

Having ridden at Broadford for the first time today, I have to tell you, it's worth the drive down! Mad little place. Your bike should wheelie nicely in 3rd or 4th over the crest on the back straight.

Um, Im hoping to get there J, But Im in the middle of a really exciting deal that will all unfold soon. Cant say anything now, but you wont have to worry about going toe to toe with my FZR if it comes off. ;) ;)

Oh i did love that crest,

was side by side with a young guy on a gsx-r over the crest, and out of the corner of my eye seen his front wheel lift, and lift, and lift some more, then the elbows look like his doing the chicken dance, i'm thinking holysh1t, how is this going to end!!!!

Luckly it ended with him heading into the pits for a change of undies and a little lie down

glad to here you are going around again Steve, i might have to orginise a house inspection in Melbourne around the time of that Broadford meet

Brilliant news - the more FZR's on the track, the better :)

Looks like there may have to be a dedicated FZR race when Duke22 and I bring the bikes over...

I'm sure you actually get airborne there. Revs hop up as well... perhaps my rebound is too stiff? Shakes... knots is a word that best describes it :) there is provision to privately hire the track for a day Kiwi, costs about $1500, so perhaps closer to the time when your mob comes over, we can get a few people together and organise some quality time there... lol. then there is Winton, as little further north.... same deal :)

If you want to ride at Broadford, have a look at the 2010 VIC race calendar:

March 19-21 Vic RR Rnd 1 Broadford
May 16 Interclub Rnd 1 Broadford
Aug 15 Interclub Rnd 2 Broadford
Sept 17-19 Vic RR Rnd 4 Broadford
Oct 2-3 PCRA Broadford
Oct 31 Interclub Rnd 3 Broadford
Nov 21 Interclub Rnd 4 Broadford

And there is still TBC Hartwell's Broadford Rnd. That's 8 races at Broadford!! I can't wait, I'm going to try and do all of them I like the place that much!

Find a buyer for one or both the FZRs & then I can pull this deal together & the world will know!!
