As much as I wanted to look at those Steve. I just couldn't bring myself to do so as it's colder than the friggen North Pole here right now and we're in 2 feet of snow. The night's low last night was -38C, and tonight it's -34, out in the country it'll easily be well past -40 and both vehicles have shit the bed. It's 12:30am in the very early morn and instead of going to bed, I'm waiting for the damned charger to bring one of the batteries back from the dead and then maybe, it'll start after the block heater has seen an hour's heat.
Why do I live in Canada again?

Yes Yes I know, I said, I'm building a project YZF1070
Basement is done now, 850 finished and gone...
Gotta get the new siding up on the house.
Fixing the FZ1 up, cleaning up garage and then I might even begin

Indeed,
Global warming MY ASS, Both Vehicles are dead in the water.
The plug for the car's block heater just friggen 'snapped' off as if it had been frozen instantly by Liquid Nitrogen. Truck's battery Stone dead, interior light left on
By the way, you've heard now that they have figured out global warming's all a crock a shizel right? Just apparently suppossed to be a warmer earth cycle. Friggen media & green peace.
I should probably throw up a thread hijacked soon eh? Sorry Steve!

Awesome photos, lets me use the catchphrase "thrills and spills"
'cause there were spills in there too. I like the one where there
is a ZX6R on the straight and it's looking pretty scared because
there is a PJ-FZR a little way behind it hunting it down real quick...
sickle:
Damn that's cold. Do you have to use special fuel?
Is it worth taking the batteries out and keeping them in the
house overnight?

I suppose it would be better to bring your battery in over night, but who's got the time, muscle and desire. I had to bring it in so it would actually take a charge it took 9 hours to thaw inside the house. Usually we just buy the same thing I purchased two of today, battery blankets. They are just as described accept of course they are corrosion resistant and heated electrically
Edmonton actually set a record yesterday apparently and was #2 in the world for the coldest place on Earth. We were only beaten out by Sibera, Russia for cryin' out loud!! Now I know I've gotta move.
