The waiting sucks! 4 more sleeps before I get to go to the track and I have already packed the trailer! I have never been ready this early. :)

P.S. So far we have five New Era bikes coming down at Easter.

Really guys, you need to try to make the Barry Sheene meeting.
Its just got a vibe that no other meeting has.
I'd love to see some Team Exup's in the pits with us.

Love to be there, but I'm working the saturday (if I don't show
up that day I get fired), Phillip Island Superbikes on sunday with
my GF who is a marshal there, and taking the ferry to TAS
for a bike holiday on the monday at 9am. So, sadly no option.
Next year, if they can manage to not have it on the same weekend
as WSBK...

Up here in Queensland and we are a bit slow and that. The term Pre Modern has not really caught on yet. :)

90-95 is the era.

Come up Jay, I need someone to chase/follow/try to beat!!!
And besides that it will be a good test of the FZRs speed..Betta hang on though. It'll go faster than the VFR in forth gear, you'll know your going when you hit turn 1 at over 260Ks!!!!! :shock :rofl

I'd love to come up but I just don't think I can justify the time and cost in amongst all the stuff going on down here. I would have been more inclined if they'd split the grids back to NE and PM but that's still not happening. The thou is still in getting the suspension done, its costing a bomb but should be pretty sorted, raising the back up, a lot of work being done on the front end, got an Ohlins for it many thanks to Mike SS for that. It's half race-prepped, once it's back I need to finish it pronto and get it out on a circuit somewhere. I'm paid up to do the Vic titles at Broadford later in March so I'll aim for that meeting as its first run.
Yeah, I think it will take me a bit of time to get used to the extra speed on the approach to turns, plus getting on the gas on the way out - no cack-handed stuff like I get away with on the 750!

Im ready!!!
Just fitted the fairing, gave it the once over, took it for a run,
[closed of corse] went real well too.
Leaving tomorrow at about 11am for the drive down to Wakyfield. About 4 hours from my place. Dump the bike in the garages & head off to the motel for some dinner & a sleep.

I really hope the gxsr can match what the FZR acheved. It is much lighter to ride, so lets hope that tranlates into fast times. At this stage I just want to come home happy. With a trouble free weekend.
Ill post up race report on monday!!!
Wish me luck guys..

Yes you can and I know I will be.....I feel a bit left out, I haven't missed a PCRA round in over two years...separation anxiety.....look out for Nigel Taylor in NE, he's a mate of Mick's and is on a superbike spec...FZR1000! He was well quick in the day apparently, I'm sure he'll still be quick enough. A few St George refugees in Pre Modern aswell I see. I don't have too long to wait, our first meet is March 6-7 at Mac Park.
