We have had a couple pull out but still have 5 pre-modern runners coming down :) A couple of us have a local series round the weekend before so it will be a big fortnight :)

I havn't got my final instructions yet so hopefully they are in the mail!

I'm on the FZR1000. The other guys from up here will be 2 Fireblades and a 916 and a 944 Ducati.

Mike, my comment was aimed at Butler but yours came in microseconds ahead of it (I'd only be so blunt with people I've met!!) Nonetheless, sounds like a good suite of bikes from up North, it'll be a mad New Era and pre Modern grid that's for certain. I'm sort of not sad to be missing it!! Turn 1 is stupendous. Can't see the apex as you tip in at 230 or so.

You'll love it, it's one of those corners you can really get your teeth into. I have never ever felt like I nailed it properly, its a frustrating but enticing bit of track at the same time.

Turn 1 on the FZR is sweet. I got it right once, god it was good. Only wish I could do it some more

Mike the Creek suits the FZR like a hand in glove. Big sweeping corners, were the power can really work for you. Just watch turn 2. No big twists of the throttle on that one or things will turn shITTy real fast. The rest of the track is FZR hunting ground..

That FZR passes me down the straight, & you'll have more than that to worry about!
Bikes go missing at the creek you know, then turn up later in different with a different rider.. :poke :rofl

The asbestos dust off it is good for killing the opposition :)

It is said to create a thermal barrier, though aluminium/ceramic coatings these days do a far better job, not only aesthetically, but in all respects.

Basically, they (coatings/wraps) keep the heat in the pipes/headers. Not only creating a cooler engine/induction area, but internally accelerating the pulse/vacuum effect, resulting in more efficient scavenging of cylinders. The increased velocity of exhaust gas, draws in the next fuel/air charge more efficiently.... though I've never looked to see if that is actually what is going on in there :?
