I think theres some DTM meeting there at the same time.

why would you wanna be at the ring when there ara loads of cars around?!

at weekends its verry crowded, i like it best on other days with a local hero in front of me to show the way around cause it's impossible to remember al of the Nordschleiffe in a couple of rounds.

two years ago i put the yammie in the back of the van and went on holliday with the fammily to a nearby centerparcs.
From there did some trips to the Nordschleiffe.The circuit is about 21 km. and I believe about 22 curves on the slopes surounding Nurburg. There are a lot of blind curves so you don't know where the track goes after or how sharp the bend is, therefore you have to ride with lot of margin on savety. This means local GTI heroes wil close up on you at cornes and some idiots practicly screw your licenseplate! Thats why I prefer to ride at a save distance behind a local R6 so you can see how the track unfolds before you by the brake light and place at the track of the rider in front of you.In this way its safer to go fast and have less GTI's on your tail !The track itself is amaaazing, in one place there's a concrete 180dgr. turn with a lot of banking so your bike gets totaly compressed on suspension including yourself,on the exit the front goes airborne as you have to flip over into a right hand turn. another point where this happens is wen the track goes from downhil to uphil and at this point you have to go hard on the brakes for a right hand turn, you get realy squeezed on the tank and the helmet gets real heavy! these are just two points of the manny in this unforgettabel legendary circuit wich every biker should have done at least once in his lifetime! greatings from holland.

I also hear that they at the track check for noise levels of exhausts.
This maybe because of tough german laws ???
So no track day special bikes I hear are allowed.

They are checking exhaust noise levels at some tracks in the U.S. too. Probably depends on how close the track is to populated areas and local noise pollution laws.

i read that they are nutty about noise levels anywhere near a track in britain.
