As I write this, I am still recovering from an awesome weekend at "the Island"...
I'd like to try to share the atmosphere with some pictures...
I will skip the reporting of the actual race, because you can find that on plenty of moto journalism websites, better than I can write it.
It'll take me a while to upload the best of them, let me know if you have any specific requests for big versions, or other pics. Especially for non-Yamaha pics that I have plenty of, but won't post here much.
The Grid
Nearly ready to go
Not just about the racing
A collection of Yamaha models you'd like to have in your garage
Dan Stauffer's Australian Superbike R1
Tom Sykes' World Superbike R1
Cal Crutchlow (Yamaha R6) battling in World SuperSport
Noriyuki Haga (Ducati) extending the hand of congratulations
to Ben Spies (Yamaha R1) at the end of race 2
Reuben Xaus coming into the pits from the first BMW racing
efforts in fifty years
Phillip Island is notoriously hard on the left side of tyres (Corser's BMW)

The PI racing was some of the best I've seen in years - Nori's still da man, but look out for Spies.
Great seeing some new marques out there, and it's going to be interesting watching their progress over the year.
Now - if only MotoGP was this interesting...
