Dunno? Perhaps try giving them a call?

It would be a shame to see them go.

It's getting harder to find shops that do specialized engine work. My local crankshaft people got to retiring age and shut shop!

There are a couple of cam specialist here in Australia?

What do you need Dave?

I received an email back from Barbara at Megacycles:

"Hi Dave,

Apologies for the late reply. We no longer offer hardfaced cams for Yamaha YZF-750, OW01 or FZR-1000

Barbara"

Shit that's bad news.

There are two companies in au that make-modify cams. I spoke to them years ago about FZR-ow01 cams

I'll see if I have info for them if you like?

What are you specifically after?

It's getting harder to find any shops that know anything about the FZR1000. Same thing you said "got to retiring age and shut shop". Here in the U.S. there's still some old school V-twin shops (Harley) but anything JDM and it's "where is the port where I plug-in my computer"?

Isn't that the truth Djalbin, My crank shop has retired, and an engine builder=machinist did the same. They can't find kids who are interested in taking this sort of work on. Demand always leads to supply, but you have to draw the line at Harley guys... Joking.

Gotta get the new siding up on the house.
Fixing the FZ1 up, cleaning up garage and then I might even begin
