A good series of articles which follows a first-time beginner
at amateur club racing; a great introduction on how to go racing.

Good read cam, however my wife has a slightly different version of 'How to go racing'
1. Husband buys a reasonably inexpensive bike with the statement that it won't take too much $$$ to 'get it right'.
2.Husband falls off bike at over 180kph on the day he pays for it - several thousand $$$ later, bike is 'much safer' to race.
3. Spend $15,000 in one year on 'low cost racing' and bring home two $30 cups to show for it.
4. Husband buys a 'good motor' and then spends a few thousand $$$ to 'get it right'.
5. Smile at the silly ol' bugger as he gets ready to do it all over again.
I think I like your version more
