Quiting after couple of min's
Hey,<br>\<br>My 89 FZR 1000 is giving me trouble. THe other day i was riding around th city and after about an hour i was going up a hill and it completly quit on me, no real sputtering or anything like that just all of a sudden turned off. It would,'t start right after so i let it sit for about 20 min and then it started, but it did the exact same thing after about 2 min of riding. I couldn't start it after cause i drained the battery tring to start it so much. About an hour later i jumped it and it ran for 2 min then died, I had a friend follow me home and we jumped it like every KM to get it home. I took it into the shop, thinking it was electrical and the mechanic checked that the it was charging, and it was. But the battery was dry, he figured that that was teh problem so he filled it up and charged it. I got it back and teh same thin is still happaning.<br><br><br>Please give me some advice<br><br><br>RIco <p></p><i></i>

could be your fuel pump too. Try topping off the bike to see if it runs withou problems until it's 2/3 full. If that's the case, the pumps quitting on you. <p></p><i></i>

Replace the battery. If it was run dry it is toast. Check your kill switch for a dodgy connection, and jiggle the ignition key when the engine is running and see if you can get it to stop, similar thing happened to me recently and it was the ingnition contacts gone furry.<br>Oh and welcome to the ood! <p></p><i></i>
