Anybody know what this rim is off of?
As I've grumbled about previously, I got a rim off Ebay that was listed as a FZR rim. Turns out it wasn't. It's gotta be a YZF wheel, but I'll be damned if I can figure out what year it's off of. The only "part number" I can find on it says 4JH and that's it. I've been looking at the parts fiche trying to match it up but no luck. Some of the late model YZF600s have the 4JH prefix on the fiche, but looking at the pictures the holes in the rim don't match up. Just want to figure out what year this is from so I can relist it on Ebay. Help!!
LOOKS LIKE A YZF750 http://exupbrotherhood1.com/phpbb2/view ... 22&start=0 IT COULD ALSO BE A FZR600 THEY CAME IN THAT COLOUR ASWELL AFTER 91.

The reason I didn't think it was for a FZR was because where the sprocket carrier fits in the pattern is different. They're more angled and not straight across "fins". Plus when I was looking at the fiche it looked like the 600 rims only had 3 rubbers that fit in.
Here's the pic of the rim and the carrier off my FZR.

See this is where it get's tricky. Part of me thinks you guys are right on it being for a 750. But, the fiche gives a conflicting match. If you look at the image, it looks like there should be 5 dampers that fit in there (look at the hub spokes/fins). You know how on Yamaha's fiche they usually list the number of parts it would take to replace something? On the 750 page it says 6 dampers are needed, but it looks like you could only get 5 in there.
Going by the images, the closest match seems to be a YZF600. The hub looks the same, but the holes they show on the wheel spokes don't match up. The rim I have has one hole on each outer spoke. Doesn't have anything in the middle or close to the center. Also the 600's have the 4JH prefix. Here's the pic of the 600:
I guess I've got it narrowed down for the most part. The whole point of this is to give somewhat of an accurate description when I relist this on ebay. Don't want to be like the idiot I got it from and list it wrong. So if anybody needs a spare rim I got one for sale! lol

ok, i just looked at the online parts fiche. the drawing that shows the rear wheel for the yzf750 is wrong. the cush drive has 6 dampers, exactly as your rear wheel requires and exactly as my stock yzf750 rear wheel requires. the parts LIST is correct in that it states 6 dampers are needed.
measure the axle diameter and you should know if it's for a late model 750 or 600.

Thanks for all the help guys. Surprising that Yammi got the fiche wrong. They're usually pretty damn accurate. Oh well, I don't think they're turning into the Haynes version of an online parts fiche quite yetHooligan wrote:ok, i just looked at the online parts fiche. the drawing that shows the rear wheel for the yzf750 is wrong. the cush drive has 6 dampers, exactly as your rear wheel requires and exactly as my stock yzf750 rear wheel requires. the parts LIST is correct in that it states 6 dampers are needed.

Got a feeling it's going to be a pain in the arse to unload this thing. If anybody needs a rim for cheap let me know!!! Either that or I'll make some sort of coffee table out of it.
