Tuned ? Yeah that's what I need, tuning !FZRDude wrote:Okay.... I talked to Bill and things are progressing nicely..... kinda.
The goal for this gathering is now a Track Day @ Road Atlanta.
This is what I know at this point.....
NESBA is now sponsered by Yamaha courtesy of Bill.
There will be multiple groups there:
R1, R6, Seca II, FJ, FJR, RZ, RD, YZF/FZR, and maybe a TZ group.
It isn't going to be just about us, but Yamaha as a whole.
Leaning towards Labor Day (late Aug- early Sept).
Bill is going to get back to me on what dates would be best for the group as a whole.
Stay tuned...
Now how about a 1979 XS750 cafe racer ?

I talked with Bill the other day and the event that he is trying to do has been pushed back. He's talking about late Oct early Nov, which is going to be difficult for those of us in the North and Northwest and it's gonna be a bit chilly that time of year.
So with that being said, I have talked to Jim and sent messages to several members that live close to tracks around the country (mainly East coast) to try and set something else up.
The options that have been discussed both in this thread as well between Jim and I:
Road America although this one's not East Coast
Mid-Ohio
VIR
Loudon Too far North (personally)
Road Atlanta
Barber
Talageda (probablly least expensive of them all)
If there are other tracks that may be of interest, chime in and post a link!!!!!
Persoanlly, I'd like to see this gathering turn into a trackday event more than going to watch a race, but that is just me.

Well...I'd like to get out and go do SOMETHING this summer. November is WAY too late in the year for me to be driving a motorhome across the Rockies.

I took a trip down to Delaware with the wife today and told her about the trip and she gave me her blessings !!!!! I am in,that is if a new guy can come
I have a apartment in North Jersey where I work and I live in North Caroilna.Anyone in between the two points, I have room for two more bikes on my trailer, maybe three,it would be tight but do-able.
For anyone that has never been to Deals Gap......GO....it is absolutely the best road to go blast down.Been a few times myself and it has been years since my last trip.
