Will do. Hoping we'll get a bit of a discount for the group, but that remains to be seen. I'm going to call them next week and see if they have any updates. I'm sure the phones have been ringing more since they made the announcement about it during the Laguna race.KontoBoy wrote: Try and work on those pit passes--for me walking the pits is just as much fun as the races.

Yes, tickets are taken care of.Hooligan wrote:wait, do we have tix/passes already lined up?
Pit passes are still an unknown. The info for the guy I've been working with is at home. It shouldn't be a problem to add pit passes to the group buy. Keep in mind it may be months yet before they even make them available. Soon as I hear anything I'll let you all know.

Yup, A few of us from farther east of you could ride as group. In my opinion it's more fun to ride as a group especially on the highways.Hooligan wrote:wait, do we have tix/passes already lined up? what day is it? where am i?

Nothing really new to report. They left me a message yesterday and talked to them today. He said the invoices for the group buys will be going out in the next week, but the payment isn't required until 60 days prior to the race. So plan on the collection taking place sometime next July.
I asked about pit passes and they are still working on it. He said it continues to be brought up in sales meetings but they are still working out the details. Supposedly on Nov 5th they are going to update the website and provide either information on it or make them available for sale. I'm still thinking that there won't be a discount on those for the groups, but who knows.
Let me know if you have any other questions.

If we need another ticket sale to get over the 20 ticket hump (is that the official number needed to get the group perks?), I'll be willing to purchase a ticket whether I can go or not. I'm taking a leave of absence from work in November to help the family business off the ground and to go back to school, so money will be too tight for a track day contribution. But if I can help out otherwise, I will.

I'll be getting at least 2 tickets minimum, but probably more. If some friends come down for race day it'll be more like 6. Just remember there is no problem if we need over 20 tickets, but yes, 20 is the magic number to reach. With all the time left I'm sure there won't be any problems getting rid of any extra tickets should we get into that situation.
