Cant say I know him. Neil is on a T & going really well this year.JasonL wrote:Dave Gilyeat. Bit of a loose cannon on the track from my (near) experience. Wayne Gow TZ250 behind and Neil.....Crockford on a Haga paint job YZF750. I see he was on a 750T this year
James Spence of 6 hour fame bought the YZF off Neil & is making most of us look like rank amaters. James is scorching fast on a well prepaired but pretty much standerd bike.
Murrys gone north[QLD] so he's out of the picture.
It was shaping up to being a great year for me. With Muzz gone, Richard Easton running P5, Chadd Slade missing. I would have been a chance for the Pre modern F1 title. But PGM on the ZX7rr, James on the YZF, & Brett Clark on the Blade, have really lifted the standard of rider this year. They are all crazy fast, & I have know hope of trumping any of them. Stuart Lomax is a gun everywere but Oran pk & thats gone now. But thats how the cookie crumbles. Im still out there having a go & thats all that matters for me..Age is against me I think, I just havent got enough fight in me now, so I just let tham all go & pick up the peices..

Hang in there Steve.
I have finally got down to the times Graham, Scott, Brad and Damien were doing last year but they have all gotten 1-2 seconds quicker again. And then there is Muzz who is 2 seconds faster again!
It's a tough gig this pre-modern class

Thunderbike is a CCS (one of the 2 large club racing orgs in the US) class mainly consisting of twins and older 600cc I4's (92 was cut off but they allowed up to 94 F2 and all FZR600's til 99). Used to be their Heavyweight Sportsman class until 2001 season. Other bikes were allowed but started disappearing from the grid (ie old interceptors)Mike_SS wrote:Sorry, excuse my ignorance but what is that exactly?93 F2 Thunderbike
Jason, its a F2 with F3 glass (had to replace the bodywork when CCS made oil catch belly pans a requirement. F2 glass doesnt have a oil catch belly pan setup.
