Reproduction YEC OW01-YZF750 Crankshaft sliders
Just to let anyone who is interested in a pair of reproduction YEC crankshaft end caps, I have a limited batch on the way. These where fitted OEM on the OW01 and where available as a YEC kit part for the YZF750. I'm pretty sure these have been in use since the FZ750 on works machines.
The Yamaha items are forged, and as a result there is a 'seam' evident just above the mating surface flange. My drawings have duplicated this, and the hope is that when they are Machined (CNC) from billet, and then bead blasted to a similar finish, that you won't be able to tell the reproduction from the Yamaha part.
I need quite a few sets for my own projects, and will be selling some to enthusiasts as well.
These are not just YEC unobtainium bling, they actually help prevent crankcase breakage. (see picture 3)
Price is expected to be about $190 Australia dollars a set. If your interested let me know. They will be available in about 6 weeks time.
If you are not a forum member you will have to join up to make contact with me via pm... And a great bunch of guys... Cheers

Yes, I want these for sure.
Are these no longer available at the local Yamaha parts counter? I thought they might be, but then figured they weren't.

Yes Yes I know, I said, I'm building a project YZF1070
Basement is done now, 850 finished and gone...
Gotta get the new siding up on the house.
Fixing the FZ1 up, cleaning up garage and then I might even begin

Well, I've got to tell you all, it's a challenging thing doing reverse engineering, and there is still room for refinement with these...
This is what I have made...

Hi, Just bought a couple of sets of these for some race bikes I'm building up. After comparing them to the standard ones fitted to my OW engine, these are exactly same. Well done Spook.
If anyone wants some bling with function I'd recommend them.

Thanks for the props, but they are not exactly the same. The outside radius's are 1 not 3 mm as would be evident by side by side analysis's. Apart from that...teamslak wrote:Hi, Just bought a couple of sets of these for some race bikes I'm building up. Bump. Price has dropped to cost. $ 150 per set.
20 sets now sold. 5 sets left, and that's it... no more.

Hey Ralph,
Let me know what shipping would be to Edmonton AB, T6E 1A7, not sure if John wants any as I think he's not racing anymore but...., if he does maybe we can split the shipping.
