chain and countershaft sprocket ???'s
hi all,

i am preparing to mount up new sprockets and a new chain on my bike - 94 yzf750r.

first question, and don't flame me if it sounds really stupid. when i prepare to loosen my countershaft nut, it's still counter-clockwise right? i am not sure if yamaha uses a reverse thread nut there and my haynes manual doesn't detail.

second, can anyone recommend a good chain tool? i know i need one that will press the rivets out to remove the old chain, and also be able to install the new chain.

thanks!!!

Yes. Put it in gear, stand (yes, really) on the rear brake and reach over to loosen the nut. I have a chain breaker, think it cost me like $20. Can get them at just about any bike shop.

Tim
<img src="http://img69.photobucket.com/albums/v20 ...
Has anyone seen my keys?
Dir. of Entertainment Eddie & the Cruisers

The countershaft nut is removed easily with a impact drill.
-John
