interchangeability

Post by creed12r »

Hi Canappa
The starter motor is the same,
The alternator is different but interchangeable.
The clutch cover is interchangeable but has an oil sight glass in it.
The sprocket cover is the same (with a six speed decal)
The head will fit but has two frame mounting bolts holes and a very restricted intake.
The cam cover is the same.
The cranshaft and rods will fit but if you are using 1000cc barrels it will only give you 860cc due to the different stroke.
The six speed gearbox fits as a complete assembly.
The crankcases are the same apart from a blanking plug on the oil fill sight glass.
The cam chain tensioner is the same.
The water pipes are different.
The oil pump is the same.
The clutch basket is the same (I think)
