High Side on the Dragon

Post by djalbin »

Freeze frame sequence of a high side on the Dragon. Good form going into the turn. Looks like he chopped the throttle during the slide ... and ... instant crumpled bike.

Hi All,
ooh, painful, and expensive..
The good news..screen is not broken.
The bad news...."shortened" swinging arm..

Maybe he should of waited till pic 6 to open the throttle, not pic 5..
AND, where does the bit of vegetation in pic 8 come from..... :?
Yours Slip.

I don't know. I was wondering that myself. At first I thought it may have been what tripped him up - but I don't see it in any of the frames leading up to slide. Maybe it was stuck in the frame or fairings somewhere and came loose during the crash.

Good eye Jim. It's stuck between the exhaust and the rear wheel, Looks like it extends down to the rear brake. Knowing where to look, you can spot it starting with frame 1.
