Fair weather biker...

Post by Yoniboi »

... no, nothing funny or interesting. Just me, sat at home with an afternoon off work and IT'S PISSING IT DOWN and bloody freezing.

Three weeks of on-off rain, black skies and max. temps of 20ºC. Christ, I'm in Spain, it should be like California here! It's 32ºC and bright sunshine in the north of Germany and has been for weeks.

AAAAAAARRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHH. :hissy

Why am I such a wus? Why don't I dig getting wet when I ride, or more importantly why do I hate getting cold? Big girl's blouse, I am.

There, I feel better now. Thanks.

lol....I hear ya, man. Weather was beautiful this weekend and then we had frost warnings last night. Didn't get as low as they thought, but still had to only be around 40F this morning. I avoid riding if it calls for rain. For one I don't have dedicated rain gear, and two, it makes a mess of the bike. I really don't hate riding in rain, but I feel like I have to be so extra careful when it's wet out that it takes most of the joy out of riding.

Nate,
Don't feel alone on the fair weather riding. I don't mind riding in the rain but it's a pain the ass to get the bike clean afterwards. A naked bike would be easier to clean but a full fairing bike is a pain. With all the good weather here, there's enough good riding days to skip the bad weather days.
